How to Get the 'Home' Button in Chrome

Not sure why Google's Chrome doesn't automatically give you a 'Home' button.

Here's how to get it -
Open your browser window.

Click on the wrench in the top right corner.
Click on 'Settings' from the drop down menu.

You should be on the 'Basics' page of Settings.

Go down to 'Toolbar'.

Check the box that says, "Show Home Button".

That's all there is to it!

Your little house will be on the left, next to back, refresh, etc.

Yahoo's Site Builder and Site Solution

If you're having trouble embedding a pdf file in Yahoo's Site Builder software, you might want to try Yahoo's Site Solution for your site. Back in May, 2011, my Site Builder crashed and burned. I had to move to Site Solution. I think the problem was my 64 bit computer. Site Builder was fine with the 32 bit. I've gotten used to it, but there are some limitations. It's VERY easy to pop a pdf file in. It's as easy as linking to any document file.

Where Are All the Great Librarian Blogs

There used to be so many great blogs done by librarians. Why did they all disappear? There are still a few favorites, and the links are over on the right.
Did their jobs get cut? I can't figure out why public librarians are so poorly compensated.
Boards of public libraries expect a 60 hour work week for about 20 hours worth of compensation. I can't figure out why boards of most non-profit organizations even exist. Mostly, they just ruin the non-profit they oversee.
